“Rotte in Libertà – Trieste” è la mostra di Ester Maria Negretti. Si svolge presso la Sala Xenia in Riva tre Novembre,7, di fronte al villaggio Barcolana dal 3 al 8 ottobre. Un viaggio artistico ispirato alle barche a vela, compiuto nel 2023, circumnavigando il Mediterraneo.  L’artista cattura il magico movimento delle regate veliche, il colore delle onde e il profumo della salsedine usando materiali ritrovati o legati a ricordi per esprimere la libertà che il mare regala. Scende dalla barca con energia e passione, riversando la sua avventura sulla tela per vivere con voi Rotte in Libertà.

“Rotte in Libertà – Trieste” is the exhibition by Ester Maria Negretti. It takes place at the Sala Xenia in Riva tre Novembre, 7, in front of the Barcolana village from 3 to 8 October. An artistic journey inspired by sailboats, completed in 2023, circumnavigating the Mediterranean. The artist captures the magical movement of sailing regattas, the color of the waves and the scent of the saltiness using found materials or those linked to memories to express the freedom that the sea offers. He gets off the boat with energy and passion, pouring his adventure onto the canvas to live Rotte in Libertà with you.

Con questa esposizione alla Sala Xenia di Trieste, Ester Maria Negretti intende anche rendere omaggio alle donne veliste, per dimostrare che non esistono lavori né “maschili” né “femminili”, né in mare, né a terra: perfettamente in linea con il Manifesto di Barcolana 55 che l’artista americana Judy Chicago ha creato disegnando petali di fiori che simboleggiano la femminilità e la bellezza della natura, diventando vele in occasione della Regata.
La Mostra sarà formalmente inaugurata giovedì 5 ottobre alle ore 18.00 con la presentazione critica di Franco Rosso, e sarà visitabile dal 3 all’8 ottobre con la presenza dell’artista.

“Rotte in Libertà – Trieste” è la mostra personale di Ester Maria Negretti – un’affermata artista che si ispira alle regate veliche e alla passione del mare – nell’ambito della Barcolana, la rinomata regata velica internazionale che quest’anno raggiunge la 55a edizione a Trieste, trasformando la città nella capitale europea della vela.
L’esposizione si tiene nella Sala Xenia in Riva tre Novembre, 7 situata di fronte al villaggio della Barcolana, nel cuore dell’evento da mercoledì 4 a domenica 8 ottobre, aperta tutto il giorno e la sera.
Qui, il visitatore viene accolto da una tela monumentale di cinque metri uscita dello studio di pittura per vivere Rotte in Libertà. Questo il nome del viaggio artistico compiuto nel 2023 dalle opere ispirate alle barche a vela. Una circumnavigazione all’insegna della Libertà lungo le coste del Mediterraneo: presentata a Portopiccolo ha navigato dalla Toscana alla Sardegna, passando per Santa Margherita Ligure e Portofino, approdando a Matera e Bari per giungere a Venezia e poi su, fino a Trieste in occasione della Barcolana.
Ester Maria Negretti s’immerge, guidandoci, nella profondità del mare spingendosi fino all’energia delle regate veliche mettendo in mostra diverse sensibilità con cui viviamo l’ispirazione di nuove avventure e vecchi ricordi.
Nelle opere esposte, si possono ammirare anche oggetti unici trovati sulla spiaggia o legati a ricordi personali dei velisti, trasformati dall’artista in arte, come le storie di passioni segrete affidate a lei per essere immortalate su tela.
L’artista riesce a catturare la magia delle barche a vela in movimento, il suono delle onde e il profumo della salsedine attraverso i materiali, i gesti e i colori che fanno vivere il senso di Libertà che solo l’arte e il mare regalano!
Il dinamismo delle barche a vela, del mare e del vento viene rappresentato dall’artista attraverso un segno pittorico incisivo e sicuro che va ad evidenziare ciò che lei già ha visto in semplici manifesti strappati dai muri cittadini. Sono proprio i poster pubblicitari che hanno ispirato questa collezione. Pezzi di carta colorati che, strappati dalla pioggia e mossi dal vento, in una notte d’inverno, hanno scatenato l’intuizione dello sguardo artistico di Negretti in cui vide immediatamente il ricordo dell’estate trascorsa in barca.  
“Rotte in Libertà 2023” è un viaggio emozionante nella passione per il mare e la vela, un’occasione per scoprire l’arte di Ester Maria Negretti, una donna, artista, che ha fatto della pittura la sua ragione di vita. Ester unisce la sua passione per l’arte a quella del marito velista ed è cosi che scende dalla barca con l’energia negli occhi – e nel cuore – di questa meravigliosa avventura da esprimere sulla tela per vivere con voi Rotte in Libertà. 
La mostra è anche un omaggio alle donne veliste, dimostrando che non esistono lavori “da maschi” o “da femmine”, né in mare né a terra, con una dedica speciale alla figlia di 4 anni cresciuta in barca.
L’ invito per il visitatore è quello di vivere come il velista, seppure fuori dall’acqua, sempre pronti alla virata.

“Rotte in Libertà – Trieste” is the solo exhibition of Ester Maria Negretti – an established artist who is inspired by sailing regattas and the passion for the sea – as part of the Barcolana, the renowned international sailing regatta which this year reaches the 55th edition in Trieste, transforming the city into the European capital of sailing.
The exhibition is held in the Sala Xenia in Riva tre Novembre, 7 located in front of the Barcolana village, in the heart of the event from Wednesday 4 to Sunday 8 October, open all day and in the evening.
Here, the visitor is greeted by a monumental five-metre canvas that came out of the painting studio to experience Rotte in Libertà. This is the name of the artistic journey undertaken in 2023 by the works inspired by sailboats. A circumnavigation under the banner of Freedom along the coasts of the Mediterranean: presented in Portopiccolo it sailed from Tuscany to Sardinia, passing through Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, landing in Matera and Bari to reach Venice and then on up to Trieste on the occasion of the Barcolana.
Ester Maria Negretti immerses herself, guiding us, in the depths of the sea reaching the energy of sailing regattas, showing off different sensibilities with which we experience the inspiration of new adventures and old memories.
In her works on display, one can also admire unique objects found on the beach or linked to personal memories of sailors, transformed by the artist into art, such as the stories of secret passions entrusted to her to be immortalized on canvas.
The artist manages to capture the magic of sailing boats in motion, the sound of the waves and the scent of the salt air through materials, gestures and colors that bring to life the sense of freedom that only art and the sea can offer!
The dynamism of the sailboats, the sea and the wind is represented by the artist through an incisive and sure pictorial sign that highlights what she has already seen in simple posters torn from the city walls. It is precisely the advertising posters that inspired this collection. Colored pieces of paper which, torn by the rain and moved by the wind, on a winter night, triggered the intuition of Negretti’s artistic gaze in which she immediately saw the memory of the summer spent on a boat.
“Rotte in Libertà 2023” is an exciting journey into the passion for the sea and sailing, an opportunity to discover the art of Ester Maria Negretti, a woman, artist, who has made her painting her reason for living . Ester combines her passion for art with that of her sailor husband and this is how she gets off the boat with the energy in her eyes – and in her heart – of this wonderful adventure to be expressed on the canvas to live with you Rotte in Libertà.
The exhibition is also a tribute to women sailors, demonstrating that there are no “male” or “female” jobs, either at sea or on land, with a special dedication to her 4-year-old daughter who grew up on a boat.
The invitation for the visitor is to live like the sailor, even if out of the water, always ready to tack.
